Hi! I’m Christine Campbell and I’m a writer.

There! I stood in the middle of the circle and owned up. I am a writer: a novelist, in particular. I write contemporary fiction: strongly character-based, relationship novels…with a smidgen of romance and  a generous dusting of mystery and detection.

I have learned a lot about my craft since that wonderful night when I held my first completed, printed manuscript novel in my arms. My first book-baby.

I have now completed and published nine novels, the tenth nearly ready to leave home and see the big wide world and, even more importantly, to be seen by it. It’s so exciting when your book-babies grow up and leave home. As mother of five grown-up, married children, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, I know a lot about babies growing up and leaving home!

If you want to know more about me, there are a few archived posts you could check out, like this one, and this, plus various interviews other bloggers have done with me:

And here is a short video my son-in-law and my daughter made a few years ago to introduce me. It’s somewhat out of date now, but I still love it and think it gives you a flavour of who I am.

  1. Thank you, Steve.
As you can see, my bio doesn’t give a lot away. Having read yours, who knows, I might tell you more sometime 🙂

  2. Thank you for commenting on my recent blog, Christine. Being the mother of three twenty-something-grown-up children with no grandchildren yet, I like how you are now doing something for yourself. You are very talented so keep up the great work.

  3. Hi Christine! I love this blog and I wanted to show my appreciation. I don’t know if you’re an award-accepting blog but if you are: here’s a Sunshine Award for you: http://www.everythingbooksandauthors.com/1/post/2013/07/the-sunshine-award-10-random-things-about-me.html Happy blogging, and thank you xx
BTW ~ if this isn’t a good time or you’re too busy to accept, or if this is an award-free zone, I understand. It’s just for a bit fun, so don’t worry! xx

    1. Thank you, Kathryn. I’m so pleased you enjoyed my vlog. It was great fun to make. I hope you enjoy my books. I did look at your blog and see that you review books, so I’d love to see what you think of them if you do read them. Thanks again, Kathryn.

  4. Ginnie will comment when your published books arrive from Amazon…be patient as I enjoy reading, but can be slow about buying time to do it. I also signed up to this blog.

  5. I just wanted to pop in and thank you for buying Yesterday Road (thanks to The Story Reading Ape!).

I’m going to follow your publishing journey from now on — it seems much like mine. 😉

    1. My pleasure, Kevin, I really like the look of it.
Yes, I do believe our journeys are similar. I hope yours has been as much fun as mine 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, Lisa, for thinking of me and for the nomination.
As you say, it’s been a while since we shared an exchange of comments, so nice to hear from you now.
I can’t say for sure whether or not I’ll accept the challenge the award presents, but, if I can manage it I will. But I’m really chuffed you thought of me x
